GOAL AND TARGET FOR FUTURE ACCOMPLISHMENT

The goal of BSRTI is to introduce techniques by which cost of rearing could be reduced by maximizing the cocoon crop yield since yields are the eventual consequences for developmental efforts.

Besides, BSRTI should be in a position to give a complete package of practices in mulberry cultivation and silkworm rearing along with control of diseases so as to ensure advanced appropriate technologies for sericulture development in Bangladesh.

We aim to be recognized as a centre of excellence for sericulture. In our endeavors we seek cooperation with universities, public & private sectors involved in sericulture activities.

As a national institute we perfectly believe that both public & private sector including individual who are involved with sericulture business should reap benefit from us to flourish & revitalize sericulture in Bangladesh
